World leaders in high quality lifting and mooring equipment
Ansell Jones' sparkproof floor trolleys provide the high standards of quality, safety and reliability embodied in our complete range of offshore mechanical handling and lifting equipment.
The specification of mechanical handling equipment required on an offshore oil platform is dictated by the limits and confines of the specific rig or vessel. Working to anything from detailed trolley dimensions to an overall rig floor plan, our engineers will design equipment to enable efficient movement around the platform.
Ansell Jones' equipment is designed to meet the specific clients requirements. Typical options include manual push trolleys, powered trolleys, turnable steering, four wheel steering, low temperature materials and load-spreading wheels.

Turntable steering mechanisms use grease packed ball bearings for maintenance free swivel action. Four wheel steering mechanisms use stainless steel pivot pins with phosphor bronze bushes so that there is no possibility of sparking. |
All structural steelwork is shot-blasted before painting in our own paintshop to either the customer’s own requirements or Ansell Jones’ offshore paint specification. Wheels are hard wearing non-conductive rubber (available antistatic if required). Standard trolley beds are specially treated flame retardant timber. Protective rubber buffers are fitted all around. |
Parking jacks with robust base plates ensure that the equipment can be kept stationary when required. Lifting eyes or lugs can be fitted for webbing straps to secure loads. No aluminium parts are used due to their poor suitability for offshore environments and high burn temperature in fire conditions. |
