Chain Stopper and Plinth

Our chain stopper is a secure and hard-wearing device for securing a mooring chain. It consists of a pivoting bar which is held between two vertical side plates. If preferred it can be manufactured with an integral plinth.

During operation a heavy-duty pawl drops down onto the chain thus fixing the position and locking the chain off. On request, chain stoppers can be supplied with type approval from Lloyds, ABS, BV or DNV.
